Cerium-Based Metal–Organic Framework Nanosheets In article number 2300597, Liang Zhao and co-workers construct a 3D layered Ce–metal–organic framework (MOF) by rational chloride-capped metal nodes design structure-directed morphology control. The obtained MOF can be easily exfoliated into ultrathin 2D monolayer nanosheet, exhibiting excellent performance for the selective oxidation of inert C(sp3)–H bond through multiphoton excitation.

Few-layer V(2)O(5) nanosheets with a thickness of 2.1-3.8 nm have been successfully synthesized in this work via a simple and scalable liquid exfoliation technique. The unique nanostructure allows the high-rate transportation of lithium ions and electrons due to very short diffusion paths provided by this ultrathin thickness, resulting in Li-ion cathodes with remarkable energy and power densities.
